Christ the King offers a wide variety of opportunities to serve within the church, out in the community, and around the world.

Everything we have comes from and belongs to our abundant God. As Christ’s disciples, we are to care for and use all of these resources wisely. Giving is about loving your neighbor as yourself. Day by Day. Giving is an action that reflects the love in our heart for God and for people around us.

When we share the time, talents and finances that God entrusts to us, we grow as disciples and deepen our loving relationship with Jesus. By giving our resources to do the work God calls us to do, we become partners with God here on earth.

Please prayerfully consider what God would have you share financially through mission and ministry in gratitude for God’s gifts to you.

March Gift of Love — Feed My Starving Children

Since 1987, Feed My Starving Children has delivered nutritious meals to malnourished children in 70 countries – places where hunger related illnesses are the leading cause of death for children.  Providing FMSC MannaPack meals to those without a sustainable source of food creates a solid foundation to help them regain their footing.  Feeding children for a year will help ensure that children will continue to grow and thrive, and eventually be able to sustain themselves.  FMSC partners are embedded in communities and help them advance as circumstances realistically permit. Feed My Starving Children depends on volunteers to package the meals.  Volunteers from Christ the King participated on February 22. We all can participate in giving.  FMSC depends on our monetary donations to purchase the food we package.  More than 90% of our donations goes directly toward purchase of food.  $80 feeds a child for an entire year.  Last year nearly 333 million meals were provided.  By developing missionary partnerships – in schools, orphanages, and clinics, for example – more than 99% of all meals have arrived at their intended destination. Thank you for sharing your hearts and hands … and Gift(s) of Love.
