We might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us. Ezra 8:21 NKJV

Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

Each day our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, knows what is best for each one of us and lays out a path for us to follow. The problem can be that we grow confident in our own decisions and plans and forget to turn to God. Sometimes we worry needlessly, because we do not turn to God for answers. It isn't easy. God's plan for each of us is not always evident, and we have to suffer through tough days before we can see the light that God has shined on our pathways.

There will always be hard things in life--illness, loss of loved ones, employment insecurity, etc. Then there are the small things that bug us--a difficult neighbor or relative, a nagging ache or pain, patience when things just aren't going right. You can name your own personal difficulties. What we need to remember is that we have a partner to guide us and to walk with us through even the most difficult times.

Isn't it amazing that each one of us matters to God? There are millions of us living and millions more who have gone before or who are to come. We cannot understand how, but we can be assured that God knows the way, the truth, and the life for each one of us. Praises be for the grace that knows no understanding!

Dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
Thank you for caring about each one of us and calling us your children. Lead us back to you when we go astray and head in the wrong direction. Direct our thoughts, words, and deeds. Lead us by the power of your Holy Spirit. Amen.
