Our traditional Lighting of the Christmas Trees and Dedication of the chancel for the Nativity of Our Lord will be on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 2:00pm. This is a special service for many in our congregation who prefer a service during the day and for those who may not be in town Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Everyone is invited! If you know of someone who does not have transportation to church, please call them and offer to bring them to this service. Or they can contact the church office (952-881-8600), and a ride will be arranged. This service will include reading the Christmas gospel in several languages and Holy Communion. Following the service, we will gather in the social hall to sing Christmas carols and enjoy cookies and coffee. We invite you to bring your favorite Christmas cookies to share with others. Sun. Dec. 22 Children’s Program 9:30am- “Las Posadas”

As part of Sunday worship, CTK young people will present a musical play, “Las Posadas,” retelling the story of Joseph and Mary searching for a hospitable place to rest in Bethlehem. This poignant story reminds us all of the ways we too can welcome the Christ in our midst during these days of Advent waiting. Come, and invite your friends and neighbors, and yes, even strangers!

Joy: Chapel Ringers Concert, Dec. 22

Our own Chapel Ringers, along with folks exploring Beginning Bells, will offer a program of music, readings, and carols for the season after Sunday worship on Dec 22. Gentle rhythms, mysterious harmonies, and jubilant praise will draw us more deeply into the joyful anticipation of Jesus’ coming among us. Pause with us a moment and receive refreshment for the soul. Ring out and rejoice!
