A Place for Community

$6,000 for CTK Properties

This year CTKB has faced some unplanned expenses for the building where our community gathers for worship and fellowship. We need everyone's help to cover these and other added expenses:

  • Parking Lot Lights - additional adjustments needed to meet city code to light our lot.
  • Snow Removal - Due to increased snow depths this past winter, our costs for snow removal increased beyond our budget.
  • Boiler - in March we had to make a major repair to fix a cracked boiler tube.

Cultivating Community on the U of M Campus

$6000 to Help Students Face an Epidemic of Isolation

We are in the midst of a crisis of belonging. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy recently issued an advisory on Loneliness and Isolation. Cultivating communities of belonging, to God and to one another, is the heartbeat of our collective work as a church.

Lutheran Campus Ministries of the Twin Cities (LCM-TC) cultivates community on the U of M campus, learning from students what it means and what it takes to build communities where people don't just fit in, but can really belong.

LCM-TC learned in May that funding from the synod was being unexpectedly cut by $6,000 due to synod budget concerns. We can step in and fill that gap.

$6,000 is the amount that it takes to fund training for the Student Leader core of LCM-TC. Every $300 funds training for one student to lead as an evangelist of faith, mercy, and belonging on the U of M campus.
