The Augsburg Centennial Singers are a 40-voice male chorus. These “Men of Faith Passing on the Faith Through Songs of Praise” come from various walks of life drawn together by their love of singing. They will be presenting a concert on Sunday, September 28th at 3:00 PM at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bloomington.

The Centennial Singers are directed by Jim Lindstrom. After graduating from Augsburg College, Jim taught Vocal Music at Forest Lake High School for 39 years. He also served as a Music Adjudicator for the Minnesota State High School League for over 30 years and has conducted Music Festivals in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He is the fifth director of the chorus.

The group was formed in 1993 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first gospel quartet from Augsburg College to sing in Norway.  The Singers have traveled to present concerts in Norway, Florida, and the Southwestern United States throughout its history.

Music for the concert includes familiar hymns, spirituals, songs of praise and gospel selections. Come and enjoy an evening of stimulating music!
