You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name. Exodus 20:7
 
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Matthew 6:9 NIV
 
The Lord is also referred to as The Great I AM. God's name is blessed above all names, and we are beyond fortunate that we are among his children and can call on God's name in all times and places in prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. This is a comfort above all comforts and is available to each of us. 
 
God is all-knowing and understands that there are times when we do not call upon his name first when we are in pain, doubt, danger, or any other negative situation. But God's patience is boundless. The love that he has for each one of us helps us to have the assurance that when we again turn to him, he is ready to forgive and listen to our every plea, our every word of praise, and each of our words of thanksgiving. This holy gift is beyond anything we deserve, but is precious and is available to all who believe in the name and wonder of our Lord God. We are given this inestimable gift through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May we always honor this holy gift.
 
Dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
Thank you for loving each of us, your children, beyond anything we deserve. Help us to always call upon you in prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. May we always keep your name precious in our thoughts and when we speak. Amen.
