Arise, bless the Lord your God forever and ever! O May your glorious name be blessed and exalted above all blessing and praise! Nehemiah 9:5

Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves. Ephesians 5:19

As the text from Nehemiah continues, Ezra proclaims to the assembled worshippers that the Lord has “made the heavens, all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all in them. To all of them you give life...”He continues to name many more  blessings from God.
In Paul’s letter to Ephesians he reminds his people to be careful how they live and that they should be filled with the Spirit.

God, in the written word, has told us of all that has been provided for us, his beloved children. He has also provided guidance for us.

We know that life still brings difficulties and heartache; however, we are always assured that we can turn to God who provides all that we need whatever befalls us. He is there with love that passes all understanding.

Dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
Grant to us, O Lord, the royalty of inward happiness, the serenity which comes from living close to thee. Daily renew in us the sense of joy, and let the eternal spirit of the Father dwell in our souls and bodies, filling every corner of our hearts with light and grace; so that, bearing about with us the infection of good courage, we may be diffusers of life, and may meet all ills and cross accidents with gallant and high-hearted happiness, giving thee thanks always for all good things. Amen.
