One who puts on armor should not brag like one who takes it off. 1 Kings 20:11

Be renewed in the spirit of your minds. Ephesians 4:23

Our sinful natures give us the will to think as God would not have us to think. Our own selfishness and pride lead us astray too often. Yet God is there waiting for us to once again see the light of his wisdom and love.

Think of a time when life weighed you down, or maybe you feel that way today. Remember, there is nothing that could happen to you that God has not seen, has not dealt with. We are his beloved children, and he is waiting to give us the comfort and hope that we need at such a time.

Recently, a sister-in-law who is also a dear friend died. For 30+ years she has suffered illness and pain that was beyond comprehension to those of us who knew her well. Ginnie never lost hope; her faith remained strong no matter the physical and mental stresses she was enduring. Today as many mourn her passing, all are strengthened and comforted in the knowledge that God has taken her home. Oh, what comfort God's grace is to all of us who believe. Let us always turn to God for his guidance.

Dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
Renew our minds to always think like you and to let your infinite knowledge be our guide. When we weaken and seek to let our lesser emotions guide us, bring us back to your infinite love.  Give us wisdom in every situation. thank you for always being there ready to bring us closer to you. Amen.
