The Lord said to Moses, “You have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.” Exodus 33:17
God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his.” 2 Timothy 2:19
These words given to us in the Holy Bible are ancient words, but they are written just for us as they were for the people living in the time they were written. His truth never changes and is a guide for all who believe. We know that we are not worthy to be his children, but God has still gathered all who believe into his fold. When we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive our sins. We are then restored to be his favored children. He loves us unconditionally. May we live lives that reflect God’s love, mercy and compassion.
Dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Thank you for teaching us your truth that never changes. Help us to always remember what an incomparable gift is is that you know each of us by name and that we are precious in your sight. Help us to let others know of your love, mercy, and compassion. Amen.
