Discipleship Discovery: Centering Prayer

Beginning Wednesday, January 16th, from 6-7:30pm, Pastor Rory will lead a six-week Discipleship Discovery Group on Centering Prayer. This group will learn about the practice of Centering Prayer, a tradition of Christian contemplation. A portion of our time will be spent in prayer. The rest of our time will be spent learning about important figures in Christian mysticism and how this form of contemplative prayer can radically change the way we see the world. This group is open to all people with a desire to focus on their prayer life, regardless of experience. Sign up HERE or in the Commons.

Women of the Bible – Part 2 – Beginning January 23rd

Once again, we will follow several women of the Bible on their journey of faith and their role in God’s plan. Women of that age had very little say in their own lives and are often overlooked in their contributions. We will learn about several heroines and how they changed the people around them. We will learn about the villainesses, and their missteps. But were they really the ‘bad girls’ history has made them out to be. Join me Wednesday nights, and learn more about the brave women of the Bible. Sign up HERE or in the Commons. Peace, Susan Hanson
