I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go. Psalm 32:8

Understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17

We walk with the phrase, “God’s work, our hands.” instilled in our hearts. Last Sunday during Christ the King’s on-line service, Pastor Phil Knutson brought a message from his home in South Africa. In it he talked of the rewards of mercy, peace, reconciliation, and justice. Those words had the immediate impact of bringing calmness to my thoughts. If we listen to that still small voice of God throughout our lives, we will always move forth in faith, with hope, and motivated to be as positive as we are able. What an awesome God we have who teaches us the way we should go. Today I pray the words of the hymn text written by Isaac Watts.

Dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,

Oh, that the Lord would guide my ways to keep his statutes still!

Oh, that my God would grant me grace to know and do his will!

Order my footsteps by your word and make my heart sincere; let sin have no dominion, Lord, but keep my conscience clear.

Assist my soul, too apt to stray, a stricter watch to keep; and should I e’er forget your way, restore your wand’ring sheep.

Make me to walk in your commands, ’tis a delightful road; nor let my head or heart or hands offend against my God.

In your precious name we pray, Amen.
