Bryant Park Community Garden

Bryant Park Community Garden was created in 2012 with the goal of fostering community through the care of God’s good earth, on the corner of 86th Street and Fremont Avenue. As fellow workers in God’s creation, we intend to use the resources of nature with reverence and respect, so that generations yet to come, may continue to enjoy and appreciate God’s generous bounty.

  • The Bryant Park Community Garden is located on the north lawn of Christ the King Lutheran Church (8600 Fremont Ave. S) alongside Fremont Ave.

We have 64 raised beds (approximately 12” off the ground) and 8 waist-high beds (approximately 28” off the ground) and offers 9 square feet of gardening area.   Each garden bed rents for $10.00.  Gardeners can plant non-perennial fruit, herbs, vegetables, and a flower for their growing pleasure. This garden is pesticide and herbicide free.    The entire garden area is watered by overhead watering system approximately four times a week.   A water spigot and a compost area is also available.   The garden season runs mid-May through mid-October.  Call the CTK office at 952-881-8600 for more information about availability and to rent a garden.

  • All are welcome, green thumb or not – Come grow with us!

At CTK, our Bryant Park Community Garden has 65 raised gardening beds available to rent for just $10/box for the growing season, which includes watering in small bursts twice a day Tuesday-Sunday.

Additionally, we set aside some boxes to grow produce for our local food shelf, VEAP.  You are welcome to volunteer to tend to those boxes as well. A garden is an instrument of grace and a visual reminder of God’s abundance, so come play in the dirt, eat what your grow, be in community, make new friends and bring your friends to this space!
We also invite you to join our Bryant Park Community Garden Committee on May 8th from 7:15pm-8:00pm to help us plan the gardening season.  This year’s season runs from May 18th thru October 19th
