Why Should We Give Ministry Web Banner
W.O.W (Word On Wednesday) – 6 – 7 pm Wednesday Nights (Sept-May) Families are welcome to enjoy a meal with people of all ages at 5 pm. We begin each week with intergenerational community worship at 5:55 in the Commons, then split up into age groups.  At WOW, kids experience active, Bible-centered learning in classes organized by age.  Children run and play, sing and dance, create and question all around a Bible story or theme. Children’s Choirs are included during WOW time using the Royal School of Church Music program.  Kids get to learn wonderful music and then participate in Sunday worship when kid’s choirs sing (quarterly).

Sunday School – 10:45 – 11:45 am Sundays (Sept-May) Children meet in their classrooms at 10:45 am for weekly Sunday School classes. Each week, the children will study the same stories we focus on in worship – learning important Bible characters, events, miracles, and lessons.  The kids and their leaders gather together to explore their Bibles, enjoy fun activities, pray, and grow in faith.  Parents join us for closing in the Fun Zone with an intergenerational prayer and blessing.

Faith Learning Intergenerational Practice, FLIP

Faith Learning Intergenerational Practice (FLIP) happens once a month as a way to intentionally integrate faith into daily life across generations.  This is an Intergenerational Faith Formation that brings seniors, parents, adults and children together to engage in a meaningful activities and exploration of Christian themes and topics.  FLIP helps us ALL to learn, grow, pray and play together throughout our lives.  Watch church publications and the calendar for specific events and dates this year!   Children’s Summer Ministry   Each summer we offer some amazing FUN ministry opportunities for our kids.  These include Vacation Bible School and going to Sugar Creek Bible Camp

Parent’s Time Out

Parents take a time out and leave your kids with us – whether you want to go to a movie, catch up with a friend, or go power-shopping.  CTK is offering childcare for a Parent’s Time Out on Saturday, December 21st from 12–4 pm (lunch provided).  Kids must be signed up by Sunday, December 15 so we can provide enough lunch and have our volunteers on hand! Talk to Brittany McDonald or Lynn Lenort with questions.

Sun. Dec. 22 Children’s Program – “Las Posadas”

As part of Sunday worship, CTK young people will present a musical play, “Las Posadas,” retelling the story of Joseph and Mary searching for a hospitable place to rest in Bethlehem. This poignant story reminds us all of the ways we too can welcome the Christ in our midst during these days of Advent waiting. Come, and invite your friends and neighbors, and yes, even strangers!
