Lighting of the Christmas Trees

Tuesday, December 19th – 2:00pm

Our traditional Lighting of the Christmas Trees and Dedication of the chancel for the Nativity of Our Lord will be on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 2:00pm. This is a special service for many in our congregation who prefer a service during the day and for those who may not be in town Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.   Everyone is invited!

If you know of someone who does not have transporta-
tion to church, please call them and offer to bring them to this service. Or they can contact the church office (952-881-8600), and a ride will be arranged. This service will include reading the Christmas gospel in several languages and Holy Communion. Following the service, we will gather in the social hall to sing Christmas carols and enjoy cookies and coffee.

We invite you to bring your favorite Christmas cookies to share with others. A sign-up sheet can be found in the library. Coffee and beverages will be provided.

Parent Time Out

Parents take a time out and leave your kids with us – whether you want to go to a movie, catch up with a friend, or go power-shopping.  CTK is offering childcare for a
Parent Time Out on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 12 – 4 pm (lunch provided).  Kids must be signed up by Dec. 14 so we can provide lunch!  Talk to Cory or Lynn with questions.

The Longest Night Worship

Thursday, December 21 – 6pm

This worship service recognizes that the experience of Christmas, for a variety of reasons, is not always joyful. You may be grieving the loss of a loved one, living with a painful memory, just not “into” the season, or simply interested in a more reflective, subtle communion service.
