Small Group Ministry
a place to connect...and grow in your faith
The first generation of small groups at Christ the King is currently meeting. The groups meet twice per month for a year of Bible study, prayer, fellowship and service. After a year together, the groups will expand to reach out to others in our community.
The Vision of Small Groups at Christ the King
Small groups create an exciting opportunity for CTK members to develop closer relationships while the word of God guides all that is done. Small group ministries provide a safe place for people to connect, get-to-know each other, pray, study scripture, and serve.
The Five G's
Grace: Understand and individually recognize Christ's saving grace.
Growth: Grow by nurturing spiritual development through prayer, worship & Bible study.
Group: Serve the larger Church community.
Gifts: Encourage members to use their talents.
Good Stewardship: Generously and cheerfully give to support the work of the church.

- Mutual support through ministry to one another and sharing problems and joys
- A strong emphasis on individual and group prayer
- Personal relationships that are strong as members enjoy socializing with one another and having fun!
- Providing a welcoming, warm environment for new group members who relate to the group--members want to grow
- Members coming together to serve our Lord in many different ways both within and outside of CTK
Key Elements
Prayer, Community Building, Bible Study, Fellowship and Service are the five elements that happen when a small group gets together. Some activities may receive more attention during one meeting time than the others. Depending on the type of group, others may happen only a few times during a year. To enable the building of community, members are provided intentional opportunities to Love (Fellowship), Learn (Study), Do (Service), Reach (Evangelism). All activities are supported with prayer.
