We gather every week as a hungry broken people, seeking reconciliation with God and God’s mission in the world.  Our worship rhythm is “ancient | future” keeping in time with historical Christian practices of faith while simultaneously leaning into fresh, innovative tunes that cause us to reflect | imagine | question | align and deepenour “life together” in Christ for the sake of the world.

Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
A casual gathering in which the Word and Sacrament of Holy Communion are celebrated each week. 

 

Sunday at 9:30 a.m. 
 
Education Hour or faith formation—opportunities will be offered for all ages from 10:45-11:45am September 18-May 14.  Adult gatherings, including forum, will continue as they have.  Education for children will become more varied, with more events including parents.  Donuts, coffee, and tea will be available too!  
 

Midweek Lenten Series – worship at Noon and 6:30pm – Wednesdays

In celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, Christ the King is partnering with four other ELCA congregations in Bloomington this Lent to take a fresh look at one of Martin Luther’s most enduring works, The Small Catechism. Each week, you’ll have the opportunity to hear a different pastor talk about how each of the five chief parts of the catechism impact and guide our faith and life today.

Holy Week Schedule
April 9 – Palm Sunday – worship at 9:30am followed by Palm Sunday Intergenerational Festival
April 13 – Maundy Thursday – 6pm Worship and with Meal 
April 14 – Good Friday – Noon (Soup lunch to follow) and 6:30pm
April 15 – Easter Vigil – Worship at 5pm
April 16 – Easter Sunday!  Worship at 8:30am and 10:30am with a Pancake Fundraiser Breakfast from 8am to 10:30am – free will offering
