Station 19 present to FAC for the first time. This presentation contains the initial thoughts and ideas for the CTKB remodel. Station 19 listened to feedback, concerns and questions from the FAC and CTKB members who attended the meeting.
The presentation takes a look at how much of the property is occupied by buildings, the efficiency (usability) of our current building and how the remodel fits in with the future programs of CTKB. The initial thoughts presented by Station 19 examine two possiblities; 1) enlarging the narthex, 2) reconfiguring the current structure around a central hub (shown as a heart in the presentations.) The presentation also makes note that the current square footage of CTKB is more than adequate for our programs.
Please feel free to contact any FAC member with questions or comments about this presentation.

This is the second presentation from Station 19. It builds on the thoughts and idea exchanged during the first Station 19 meeting. This presentation contains sketches from Station 19 personnel, looks at the parking situation, drop off locations and circulation (people traffic flow.) Towards the end of the presentation, several detailed drawings show progressive Station 19 ideas.
If you have any questions or comments about this presentation, please feel free to contact any FAC member.

During this seminar, Station 19 went through previous ideas that had been discussed. This included the square footage that was being remodeled as well as the costs involved. They finally presented a new master plan that incorporated ideas that had been discussed up to this point. The main points of this master plan were to keep the office by the front door and move the nursery close to the sanctuary. A new addition would be built to accommodate the new offices and nursery. The addition would close off the main doors by the sanctuary, resulting in a single main door that is located by the current offices. The hallway from the main entrance to the sanctuary would be expanded for openness and traffic flow. A cover would be built over the main entrance to allow for car loading in a weather protected space.

This presentation by Station 19 builds on the feedback from the previous presentation. That feed back was mainly concerning the costs of the addition of the presented master plan. In this presentation, Station 19 removes the idea of an addition and introduces a new master plan. In the new master plan, all changes are made within our current existing building. The presentation illustrates areas of the current building that would be affected by the remodel and costs involved. In this presentation, two plans were presented that would open up the gathering space outside the sanctuary. In plan “B” the space by the new main entrance was opened up by moving the existing kitchen to the storage area just to the west.
