Christ the King Foundation
The Christ the King Foundation was established in 1981 for the purpose of accumulating funds from which the earnings will be used to serve and extend the mission of Christ the King Lutheran Church. The Directors and Officers of the Foundation are members of Christ the King and every confirmed member of the congregation is a member of the Foundation. Current projects of the Foundation are the Summer Music Festival, Veteran’s Day Fellowship Breakfast, and September Golf Tournament. At the end of 2010, the Foundation reported assets of more than $350,000.

Third Annual Fellowship Breakfast November 10
Tickets go on sale, October 8 and 9, for the third annual Fellowship Breakfast sponsored by Christ the King Foundation. The breakfast will be held Thursday, November 10, at 7: 30 a.m. The featured speaker for the breakfast is Chief Justice Lorie Skjerven Gildea. Special music will be provided by Erik Krohg, Ron Rydell, and pianist Darin Tysdal. Chief Justice Gildea took office as Minnesota’s 22nd Chief Justice on July 1, 2010. Prior to her appointment, she had served as a Supreme Court associate justice since January 11, 2006. She earned her B.A. Degree from the University of Minnesota, Morris, and her J.D. Degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Erik Krogh is a junior at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota where he is working toward a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Erik is a 2009 graduate of Bloomington Kennedy High School and a lifelong member of Christ the King. Ron Rydell and Darin Tysdal are Christ the King musicians. The program will also include Scripture and prayers. Special acknowledgement will be given to Veterans Day and veterans will be recognized at the breakfast. Everyone is welcome Seating for the breakfast will begin at 6:45 a.m. and the program will start at 7:30 a.m. Cost for the breakfast is $10.00 per person. Reservations can be made for a table of 8.
